Legio VI Julia Augustus
LIBRARIAN'S SUMMARY
Simon MacDowall’s Legio VI Julia Augusta is a fast-play ancient ruleset for refighting the large battles of the late Roman Republic and early Empire in 6mm. Built from a simplified version of his Comitatus game system, the rules treat the player as an army commander, with each 20mm base representing roughly a cohort. The heart of the system is its use of Death, Desertion and Disorder Points as a measure of cohesion. With variants for Macedonian, Punic, Republican, Imperial, and Roman Britain warfare, Legio VI offers a compact ancients game. All Legio versions are available for free on the Legio Wargames website.
