The "Brevis Edition" of Tercios is a streamlined set of Renaissance wargame rules to recreate large-scale battles of the Thirty Years' War. Derived from the larger Liber Militum: Tercios system, it focuses on commanding formations, using hidden order cards, and alternating activations. The rules emphasize battlefield spectacle and give Spanish tercios, Swedish brigades, cavalry, artillery, pikes, and firearms distinct battlefield roles.
